Our DNA

Our purpose is to connect to Christ, the Church and the World. We believe that Christianity is not a religion. It is about relationships. Jesus said the greatest commandment is to love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself. It’s about loving God and loving others.

We call these relationships connections.

Connecting to Christ means we have come into relationship with Jesus Christ. There is no more important relationship than the one you have with Christ. The bible teaches that when a person makes a decision to be a Christian that they believe in Jesus as the Son of God who died for our sins and was raised from the dead. They repent of their sin, are willing to confess their belief in Jesus and are baptized into Christ.

Connecting to the Church means that we enter into relationship with other Christians. In the Bible, Christians would come together in small groups to encourage one another and support one another. At FCC, we call our small groups Life! Groups. These groups meet in homes during the week and on our church campus on Sunday mornings. We also have groups for children and youth on Sunday mornings. In these groups you will experience biblical fellowship, study, prayer, and opportunities to serve others. The best way to get connected to the church is by attending our monthly New Comer’s Luncheons and our six week Next Step Class.

Connecting to the World means we enter into relationship with people outside our church family. We encourage you to develop relationships with your neighbors and co-workers. We have many opportunities for you to develop relationships with people in need in our community through our outreach ministries. We are a church planting church which means that you will have opportunities to help start new churches throughout the greater Middle Tennessee area. And we are committed to world missions, which means we offer numerous opportunities to go on short term mission trips to other parts of the world.
