Our Emblem

Our emblem is a picture of our purpose as a church family. It tells the story of what Franklin Christian Church is all about: Connecting to Christ, the Church and the World.
You will see this emblem on our literature, our signs, our building and even in our baptistery.

When you walk into our worship center, one of the first things you will notice is the baptistery that sits off to the side of the stage. If you look closely, you will see that it is a picture of our emblem.

You will notice that the cross comes to a point. We teach that everyone needs to come to a “point” in their life when they make a personal decision to follow Jesus Christ. You will also notice that the cross “points” to the water in the baptistry. In the Bible, when a person decided to follow Jesus Christ, the very first thing they did was to identify with Christ through water baptism. In baptism we die to ourselves, are buried and raised to newness of life (Romans 6.3-5). This enters us into the first connection with Christ. This connection is symbolized by the first circle of the emblem.

The second circle symbolizes our connection to the church. In the Bible, Christians would come together in small groups to encourage one another and support one another. At FCC, we call our small groups Life! Groups. These groups meet in homes during the week and on our church campus on Sunday mornings. We also have groups for children and youth on Sunday mornings. In these groups you will experience biblical fellowship, study, prayer, and opportunities to serve others. The best way to get connected to the church is by attending our  New Comer’s Luncheons.

The third circle symbolizes our connection to the world. We encourage you to develop relationships with your neighbors and co-workers. We have many opportunities for you to develop relationships with people in need in our community through our outreach ministries. We are a church planting church which means that you will have opportunities to help start new churches throughout the greater Middle Tennessee area. And we are committed to world missions, which means we offer numerous opportunities to go on short term mission trips to other parts of the world.
