Welcome to the Marriage Ministry home page…

Franklin Christian Church Marriage Ministry exists for the purpose of strengthening and enhancing marriages following biblical teaching and principles for our guide.  We believe that the marriage relationship is the most important relationship we will experience outside our relationship with Jesus Christ and that the key to a lasting, fulfilling marriage is revealed to us in the Scriptures.

Genesis 2:24 reveals God’s design for marriages. Marriage is intended from the beginning as a lifelong covenant relationship between a man and a woman.  This covenant where two become one is accomplished through mutual submission of the husband and wife as taught in Ephesians 5:21-33.  Man is instructed to love his wife as Christ loved the church and the wife is to respect her husband.  When the husband and wife surrender their lives to Christ and to one another, then the marriage relationship experiences oneness and God blesses the marriage.  Psalm 84:11 tells us that God will give blessings and glory (eternal) when the husband and wife lead an upright Christ-centered life.

The goal of Marriage Ministry is to meet the needs of all marriages – newlyweds, good to great marriages, stagnant marriages and marriages with serious issues.  This will be done through a comprehensive approach whereby we offer transformational, educational and intensive classes, seminars and counseling.

We encourage all married couples to make their marriage a priority and to experience the intimacy, closeness, and transformation that can occur by participating in these classes and seminars.  As Joe Beam, a prominent Christian marriage counselor says:  “It’s not that we expect so much of our marriages.  We just settle for so little.”

The marriage ministry team is composed of the following servants.  Please feel free to talk with any of these people for additional information and guidance.  We also welcome married couples who have a heart for marriages to join our team.  Please pray for Godly marriages and that this ministry will honor God and be a blessing to those who participate.
