James

James encourages living out one’s faith, being a doer, and not just a hearer of the Word.  He examines the social conflict between rich and poor and the spiritual conflict between factions in the church.  James rebukes his readers for their worldliness and challenges them to seek divine wisdom in working out these problems and getting right with God.

Revelation

Apocalypse or Message of Hope?  Revelation unveils the unseen spiritual war in which the church is engaged.   We are reminded that Jesus has already won the victory!  The visions granted to John both ward the church and fortify it to endure suffering and to stay pure from defiling enticements of the present world order.  Come read and discuss this amazing vision from Christ Jesus as revealed to John!

James:  Mercy Triumphs

James, Jesus’ own brother started out as a skeptic.  See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple with Beth Moore’s study, James:  Mercy Triumphs.  And, in the process, learn how you can put your own faith into action.

Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer. Plus, Beth introduces a 5-tiered study approach that she has never done before.  Each lesson will be done in 2 weeks, viewing the video the first week, and discussion the next

Moving On After Moving In

The Moving On bible study offers hope and encouragement for women that have gone through the transition of a move.  It is based on the book, “After the Boxes Are Unpacked” by Susan Miller.  Whether your move was a welcome opportunity or dreaded event, you face the daunting task of starting over in a new place.   This study takes you through the important stages necessary for a successful move:  letting go of the past, starting over in a new community, and moving ahead with a new life. It is a great way to make the friends and the community connections you long for, while deepening your relationship with God.

DISCUSSION/BOOK STUDY:  Book Supplied (suggested donation $9)
