Local Missions

Why is our Local Missions initiative called “SERVE_D”? Well, the concept is really simple: the “D” is crumbling and falling off of the word “SERVED” to reveal the word “SERVE”. It is our desire to drive the culture of FCC to become one of serving, rather then being served.

Franklin Christian Church has always been a missions-minded church with a very strong emphasis on world missions. In 2010,  FCC made the decision to dedicate 20% of the general offering to missions, with 10% going to local missions and 10% to world missions. Since then, we’ve been working on mapping out a course for the Local Missions piece of the puzzle and are now seeking ways to SERVE in ways that impact our community for the Kingdom of God.

Under local missions, we also support several programs that allow us to reach into our community and share God’s good news and His compassionate care.  Some of these programs are national or international in scope while others originated with our congregation.  Regardless, they are open and available to both members and individuals in the community who have a particular need or are looking for a particular avenue of service.
