Tim & Dawn Yates

Tim and Dawn Yates have been ministering in Australia since 1998.  They worked with the congregation at Charlestown Church of Christ in Charlestown, a suburb of Newcastle, until February 2010.  During their time there, they worked with all ages, with a big focus on youth. 

In 2007, they began the “Quest” Christian teen camp.  This 4 day camp takes place every year during the first long weekend in October.  They have also worked in the primary school in Charlestown teaching scripture classes as well as organizing scripture in the local high school.

In 2008, they moved to a new community called “Northlakes” which is another suburb of Newcastle, about 20 minutes from Charlestown.  After living there a short time, the Lord led them to begin a new ministry in this unchurched community. 

In February of 2010, “Northlakes Christian Church” was launched.  Church services are held in the new hall of the public school, where their youngest daughter attends and where both Tim and Dawn teach scripture classes. 

They are also involved in a local “commutity group” in their effort to be involved in the community and school as much as possible.  Please be in prayer for them as they begin this new work!

Tim and Dawn have three daughters: Lauren, Leah & Anna.  We are excited to partner with them as they minister to the Church in Australia.
